Electrical Engineer - Consulting

About the role

ETAP is seeking a passionate Electrical Engineer to join its consulting team in Mumbai. You will support global clients by delivering power system analysis, design reviews, and technical assistance using industry‑leading software.

Key responsibilities

• Perform power system studies using ETAP, CDEGS, PLSCAD, PSCAD or PSSE.
• Conduct load flow, short‑circuit, motor‑start, transient stability, electromagnetic switching, arc‑flash, harmonic and reliability analyses.
• Design and review electrical distribution, industrial control and renewable energy systems.
• Troubleshoot site incidents, tripping events and equipment failures.
• Provide technical solutions, recommendations and optimization advice based on study results.
• Resolve client queries on project reports and deliver accurate information promptly.
• Prepare reports, presentations and workshop materials for customers.
• Deliver training sessions to ETAP users on effective software utilization.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering degree with strong academic and practical knowledge of power systems.
• Experience delivering consulting or engineering support to industrial or utility clients.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ETAP, CDEGS, PLSCAD, PSCAD or PSSE.
• Expertise in power system analysis (load flow, short‑circuit, motor‑start, transient stability, electromagnetic switching, arc‑flash, harmonic, reliability).
• Electrical system design and review for distribution, control and renewable energy.
• Technical troubleshooting and support.
• Training and presentation delivery.
