Electrical Design Engineer - Power Transformer

About the role

As an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in power transformer design at the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, you will join an international team that drives innovation across the energy sector. You will work on projects up to 400 kV, collaborating with experts worldwide to deliver sustainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in an international design and engineering team focused on power transformers up to 400 kV.
• Influence specifications during the order stage through conceptual discussions.
• Prepare electrical order designs that meet factory limitations, guidelines, and checklists in accordance with IEEE, IEC, and IS standards.
• Generate customer and manufacturing documents, including bills of materials, according to project schedules.
• Coordinate design activities across a global network of factories.
• Take part in internal design concept reviews and ensure compliance with external and internal regulations.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–12 years of experience in electrical design for power transformer manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of transformer electrical design, thermal performance, dielectrics, short‑circuit behavior, and mechanics.
• Familiarity with IS, IEC, and IEEE standards.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams across different regions.
