About the role

Bloomingdale International School is seeking a passionate Early Years Teacher to join its IB Continuum community in Vijayawada. You will nurture young learners in a play‑centred, inquiry‑driven environment that aligns with the IB Primary Years Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver inquiry‑based, play‑centred learning experiences aligned with IB PYP standards.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and social development.
• Integrate Jolly Phonics into early literacy instruction to support language growth.
• Plan and facilitate age‑appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units and school‑wide initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents, providing progress updates and engaging them in school activities.
• Document student learning, conduct assessments, and keep accurate academic records.
• Participate in school events, workshops, IB PYP professional development, and collaborative planning meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 2–3 years of teaching experience in Early Years within an IB PYP or Cambridge curriculum setting.
• Strong working knowledge of Jolly Phonics methodology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
