Duty Security Officer

About the role

The Duty Security Officer will lead the Security Section for Adani Group, ensuring the safety of people, assets and operations across its extensive logistics and infrastructure portfolio. Reporting to senior management, the role combines intelligence gathering, risk mitigation, and coordination with internal teams and external authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse intelligence on potential criminal activities, union movements and espionage threats, sharing insights with field and operations teams.
• Develop and maintain a community intelligence network (Adani Mitra) among employees and local residents to monitor suspicious activities.
• Maintain records of antisocial elements, conduct discreet surveillance and ensure accurate documentation.
• Investigate incidents, preserve evidence, study criminal methods, track suspects and conduct interrogations.
• Liaise with local police and civil authorities to support crime reporting, legal processes and FIR filing.
• Oversee the Security Operational Plan, manage annual budgeting and introduce innovative measures, including AI‑based solutions.
• Design and deliver intelligence and vigilance training for security personnel.
• Coordinate with government bodies, village panchayats and community leaders to strengthen security partnerships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security management, intelligence gathering or law‑enforcement liaison.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal teams, authorities and community members.
• Ability to lead a team, manage budgets and develop strategic security plans.
