Duty Medical Officer – Emergency Department

About the role
High Range Hospital, a not‑for‑profit facility serving the Munnar community, is seeking a Duty Medical Officer to join its Emergency Department. You will provide immediate medical care to patients presenting with urgent health concerns, ensuring timely assessment and treatment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver frontline medical care to emergency patients.
- Perform triage to prioritize cases based on severity.
- Order and interpret initial diagnostic investigations.
- Develop and initiate appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
Required profile
- MBBS degree from an NMC‑recognized university.
- Valid license to practice modern medicine in Kerala.
- 0–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in an emergency or acute care setting.
Required skills
- Diagnostic test ordering and interpretation.
- Patient triage and prioritisation.
