Director/Deputy Director - Cultural Affairs

About the role

The institution seeks a senior leader to steer its Cultural Affairs division, aligning cultural initiatives with the overall academic and student development strategy. The role involves shaping a vibrant cultural ecosystem that supports talent development and enhances the institution’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for cultural affairs, ensuring alignment with institutional vision.
• Design and oversee the annual cultural roadmap and flagship events, guaranteeing quality, inclusivity, and relevance.
• Translate strategic plans into actionable programs, monitor implementation, and evaluate outcomes using participation and impact metrics.
• Promote student engagement, nurture cultural talent, and facilitate inter‑institutional and competitive exposure.
• Manage budgets, ensure transparent governance, and maintain compliance for all cultural activities.
• Build external partnerships and strengthen the institution’s cultural brand and visibility.
• Lead, coach, and assess the cultural affairs team to drive performance and capacity building.
• Maintain systematic documentation and reporting to support audits and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in Arts, Humanities, Cultural Studies, Event Management or a related field; PhD preferred.
• Strong strategic, operational and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale events and budgets.
• Minimum experience: 10+ years for Director level, 5+ years for Deputy Director level.
