Director - People Partner

About the role

We are looking for a Director‑level People Partner to join the Human Resources team of Mercer, a Marsh business, based in Mumbai. This hybrid role (minimum three days in the office) acts as a trusted strategic advisor, integrating talent, culture, structure and data to drive sustainable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business strategy into workforce and organisational solutions, including skills‑based planning, capacity, location and cost.
• Partner with leaders to provide forward‑looking talent insights, productivity trends and capability gap analyses.
• Diagnose organisational challenges, design scalable operating models and lead restructuring initiatives with clear business cases.
• Build robust leadership pipelines, succession strategies and enable internal mobility through a skills‑first approach.
• Lead talent reviews, performance calibration and advise on reward strategies aligned to market competitiveness.
• Shape an inclusive, high‑performance culture by translating engagement data into measurable actions and fostering continuous listening.
• Support and lead business transformations, including digital, cultural and organisational change programmes.

Required profile
