Director of Learning & Development

About the role

The Director of Learning & Development will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programmes for Fairmont Udaipur Palace. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that all staff are equipped to deliver the brand’s luxury service standards and that a strong leadership pipeline is built for future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organisation’s Learning & Development strategy.
• Design training programmes for service excellence, operational skills and leadership development.
• Lead onboarding, departmental training and management development initiatives.
• Ensure consistent implementation of brand standards and SOP training across properties.
• Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning initiatives.
• Track training effectiveness using performance metrics and guest feedback.
• Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, HR or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in training and development, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of luxury hotel operations, service standards, LQA and emotional intelligence.

Required skills

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
