Director, Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting to lead the newly created Finance & Accounting Center of Excellence in Bangalore. Reporting directly to U.S. leadership, you will shape global accounting processes as Aeva scales its LiDAR‑on‑chip technology across automotive, industrial and mobility markets.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and scale global finance processes, including Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, month‑end close, and statutory reporting.
• Hire, mentor and manage a team of 3‑5 finance professionals.
• Drive automation, process excellence and strong internal controls.
• Oversee global invoicing, AR, collections, vendor onboarding, payments and AP management.
• Maintain GL accounting, journal entries, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Provide audit support and ensure compliance with local GAAP, US GAAP, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Consolidate financial results, perform intercompany eliminations, FX translation and reporting to the U.S. parent.

Required profile

• CA (India) qualification – mandatory.
• 10‑15 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably from a top‑tier audit or assurance firm.
• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite and solid knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proven ability to hire, develop and lead finance teams.
• Willingness to work aligned with U.S. business hours.
