Director – ESG Sustainability & Climate Strategy (Advisory)

About the role

PwC is seeking a Director to lead its ESG Sustainability and Climate Strategy practice within the Advisory line of service. The role will drive large‑scale transformation programmes that help clients across chemicals, cement, metals, mining and consumer products achieve measurable EBITDA improvements through sustainability‑led interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale a market‑leading Sustainability Transformation practice.
• Lead end‑to‑end transformation programmes covering energy transition, decarbonisation, resource efficiency, circularity, waste‑to‑value, digital operations, AI‑enabled optimisation and sustainable supply‑chain redesign.
• Originate, sell and deliver large client engagements across multiple industrial sectors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop strategies that reduce greenhouse‑gas emissions and support clients’ transition to a low‑carbon economy.
• Ensure measurable financial impact (EBITDA improvement) through sustainability interventions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in sustainability or ESG transformation.
• Deep understanding of climate change mitigation, energy efficiency and renewable‑energy solutions.
• Track record of managing complex, multi‑disciplinary projects for industrial clients.
• Strong client‑facing and business development capabilities.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change at scale.
