Digital Project Leader

About the role

We are a dynamic team leading digital transformation in the aviation sector. The Digital Project Leader will drive digital initiatives from incubation through implementation, acting as the digital business partner for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Portfolio Management to align digital initiatives with the overall Airbus strategy.
• Develop Lean Business Cases, define Minimum Viable Products and move epics through the Portfolio Kanban system.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Contracts, Lean Portfolio Management, Product Management, Security and Agile teams to mature epics.
• Partner with Product Managers and System Architects to decompose epics into features, prioritize them in ART and Solution Train backlogs.
• Participate actively in PI Planning, System Demos and Solution Demos, supporting Agile teams during research spikes, proofs of concept and mock‑up development.
• Design deployment strategies, establish post‑Entry‑into‑Service support models and enable continuous delivery pipelines.
• Prepare comprehensive digital project dossiers and report progress to Investment Committees or Digital Project Reviews for phase‑gate validation.
• Ensure compliance with digital gate checklists, validating value and cost hypotheses and maintaining quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading digital projects from concept to delivery.
• Strong ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders, including business owners, architects and data‑governance teams.
• Familiarity with Airbus digital innovation processes and strategic objectives.
• Demonstrated skill in maintaining visibility on project progress and ensuring solutions meet customer expectations.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks and portfolio Kanban environments.
