DG Operator – Lonavala

About the role

The company is seeking a reliable DG Operator to manage large diesel generators at its Lonavala facility. You will ensure continuous power supply by operating and monitoring DG sets safely and efficiently, especially during emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Start and stop DG sets according to power demand and emergency situations.
• Monitor daily parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level.
• Perform routine inspections of engine, alternator, battery, radiator, and control panel.
• Maintain a logbook for running hours, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with electrical and maintenance teams during breakdowns and ensure timely diesel refilling.
• Identify abnormal noises, leaks, overheating, or faults and report them immediately.
• Carry out basic preventive maintenance and assist service engineers during major overhauls.
• Follow all safety procedures while handling DG equipment.

Required profile

• Experience operating high‑capacity DG sets (250 kVA, 500 kVA or larger).
• ITI/Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency power failures.

Required skills

• Operation of high‑capacity diesel generators.
• Basic knowledge of electrical panels and AMF panel troubleshooting.
• Preventive maintenance of generator equipment.
