DevOps Engineer – L2 Application & Platform Support

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to provide Level‑2 operational support for our enterprise applications and platforms. You will use DevOps practices and AI‑driven tools to monitor, automate and resolve incidents, ensuring high reliability for DHL’s global logistics IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for enterprise applications, investigating and resolving incidents and performing root‑cause analysis.
• Administer and support SAG WebMethods, including monitoring, deployments, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Manage Oracle Database environments to guarantee high availability and optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine operational tasks.
• Perform Linux/Unix system administration, including log analysis, permission management and performance tuning.
• Diagnose networking issues using TCP/IP, routing and firewall knowledge.
• Support containerised workloads on OpenShift/Kubernetes and monitor Shareplex replication for data integrity.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders across multiple regions.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in IT support, preferably in L2 application support.
• Hands‑on expertise with SAG WebMethods and Oracle Database.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and shell‑scripting skills.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).
• Experience with OpenShift or other container platforms.
• Familiarity with incident, problem and change management processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
