DevOps Engineer

About the role

Sarvam’s Work Agents team builds the harness for developing, evaluating, and serving autonomous agents at scale. The role combines engineering and operations to keep the platform reliable, fast‑moving, and self‑service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain multi‑cluster Kubernetes environments, including upgrades, node lifecycle, RBAC, and policy enforcement.
• Own CI/CD pipelines that build, test, scan, sign, and deploy the harness with canary, blue‑green, and rollback strategies.
• Provision and manage AWS (primary) and Azure (secondary) resources via Terraform or similar IaC, ensuring reproducibility and cost awareness.
• Manage platform‑level networking: CNI configuration, ingress, service routing, network policies, and secure cross‑cluster connectivity via VPN tunnels and peering.
• Build self‑service tooling such as CLIs, scripts, operators, and internal utilities to reduce toil.
• Maintain observability stack (metrics, logging, tracing), set alerts, and participate in incident response and post‑mortems.

Required profile

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering with hands‑on ownership of systems.
• Deep fluency with Kubernetes, including cluster operations, debugging, and Helm/Helm chart or operator experience.
• Strong AWS expertise (VPC, EC2, EKS, IAM, storage, networking) and working knowledge of Azure equivalents.
• Solid networking knowledge: CNI, ingress, service routing, network policies, VPN/IPsec/WireGuard.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Flux).
• Software engineering fundamentals with Python or Go for maintainable automation.
