DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to manage and optimise our cloud-native infrastructure. The role focuses on Kubernetes cluster operations, automated deployments and cost-efficient use of AWS services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple Kubernetes clusters (including Amazon EKS), perform version upgrades, security patching and oversee critical cluster applications.
• Deploy and optimise JVM-based applications on Kubernetes using GitOps practices.
• Design and maintain AWS network architecture and control traffic flows.
• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) for automated builds and releases.
• Develop and maintain Docker containerisation standards and ensure reliable container environments.
• Identify cloud cost inefficiencies and implement optimisation strategies.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Continuously evaluate infrastructure for performance, reliability and scalability improvements.
• Take end-to-end ownership of deployments and produce comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of hands‑on DevOps experience.
• Proven experience managing Kubernetes clusters, preferably Amazon EKS.
• Solid background deploying containerised Java/JVM applications.
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD pipeline creation (GitLab or similar).
• Strong scripting abilities in Go, Python or JavaScript.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, OpenSearch and Kafka, and with PostgreSQL databases.
