Software Engineer I

About the role

At Zebra, we are looking for a Software Engineer I to design, develop, test and maintain software components that support our products and systems. You will work within a collaborative team, applying best‑practice processes and contributing to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software components aligned with project objectives and timelines.
• Create and maintain documentation of software functionality and design specifications.
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback and assist less experienced staff.
• Analyze results, perform root‑cause analysis and resolve issues.
• Modify and enhance existing software to improve functionality, scalability and performance.

Required profile

• B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
• 0–1 years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and system design.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable and optimized code.
• Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures such as Google Cloud Platform and containerized environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, backend and modern front‑end development.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum, version control, debugging and comprehensive system testing.
