Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

The Desktop Support Engineer will ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, servers, networking equipment and peripherals for our clients. You will provide on‑site and remote assistance, troubleshoot issues quickly, and maintain a high level of service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain computers, servers, wireless routers, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Install, configure and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and networking faults, including DNS and TCP/IP issues.
• Configure and support Outlook and other mail applications.
• Install and manage antivirus servers, perform regular backups and ensure data recovery.
• Provide remote support and on‑site assistance to clients.
• Log customer queries, service calls and maintain installation reports.
• Maintain professional client interactions and follow‑up on open tickets.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in desktop or IT support.
• Strong communication skills and professional client handling.
• Attention to detail with accurate record‑keeping.
• Ability to follow dress etiquette and maintain up‑to‑date reports.

Required skills

• Windows operating system (server and desktop) administration.
• Mail application configuration (Outlook).
• Firewall and router command usage.
• Antivirus installation and maintenance.
• Microsoft Office 365 and Teams setup and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of DNS, TCP/IP and general networking concepts.
• Crimping and punching of network cables.
• Remote support tools and backup procedures.
