Deskside Technician II

About the role

Stefanini is seeking a Deskside Technician II to provide on‑site technical support for a large corporate environment. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues for both Mac and Windows devices, as well as supporting a range of peripherals and networking technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desktop and laptop support (Mac and PC) for Windows 7/10 and macOS environments.
• Install, move, add, change, and repair IT equipment, including printers, scanners, mobile devices, VPN, and AV conferencing systems.
• Perform backup, restoration, and data migration tasks for end users.
• Provide Smart Hands assistance for networking, server, and telecommunications equipment.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets, conduct audits, and document system configurations.
• Track and resolve incidents using the client’s ticketing tool, including after‑hours on‑call support.
• Offer executive‑level support and travel to additional client locations as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma (required) with proven deskside or end‑user support experience in a corporate setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a professional demeanor under pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks such as equipment moves.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Mac OS and Windows OS support (Windows 7/10).
• Microsoft Office, VPN, and mobile device troubleshooting.
• Printer, scanner, AV conferencing, and peripheral device support.
• iMac installation and configuration.
• Backup, restoration, and data migration.
• Networking, server, and telecommunications basics.
• Inventory management and asset auditing.
• A+ Certification, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), ITIL Foundations, Lean Six Sigma (preferred).
