Design & Estimation Engineer – Machine Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design and Estimation Engineer to join a leading machine manufacturing firm in Ahmedabad. The role involves creating detailed engineering drawings, preparing accurate bills of materials, and estimating project costs to support our production and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D general arrangement drawings according to project specifications.
• Develop and maintain precise Bills of Materials (BOMs) for each project.
• Generate cost estimations and material calculations to aid budgeting.
• Coordinate with Production, Project, Purchase, and Quality teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and assembly phases.
• Review and update drawings in response to engineering changes.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, dimensions, tolerances, and technical accuracy.
• Maintain drawing revisions and comprehensive project documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Approximately 35 years of experience in machine manufacturing or industrial equipment design.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, machining, and assembly operations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
