Deputy Manager – Welding

About the role

Walchandnagar Industries Limited is seeking a Deputy Manager – Welding to lead welding operations within its Pune Division. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on delivering high‑quality welding work for heavy‑engineering projects across sectors such as sugar, cement, mining, aerospace and defense.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise welding activities using Arc, TIG and MIG techniques.
• Select appropriate base and filler materials in line with project specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment, ensure calibration and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to guarantee compliance with ISO and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, fabrication and project teams to achieve seamless execution.
• Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Educational background in Mechanical, Metallurgical or related engineering discipline (preferred).
• Proven experience in heavy‑engineering environments and industrial fabrication processes.
• Strong understanding of material properties relevant to welding.
• Ability to manage teams and enforce safety standards.
