Deputy Manager - Fire & Safety

About the role

The Deputy Manager – Fire & Safety will oversee the proper functioning, cleanliness and compliance of all fire protection equipment and systems across the site. Reporting to senior management, you will lead a team of fire officers, coordinate maintenance activities and ensure safety standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of firefighting equipment and surrounding areas, performing inspections according to checklists.
• Raise requests for new administrative support, equipment or machinery as needed.
• Monitor system health, ensure automatic operation, and oversee preventive maintenance tasks.
• Act as team lead for fire officers, managing schedules, training plans and fire‑warden lists.
• Coordinate with maintenance managers, property managers and clients when major issues arise.
• Ensure timely procurement of consumables and spares.
• Maintain up‑to‑date compliance documentation and contact details on site.
• Monitor operation of hydrant and sprinkler systems and keep accurate daily logs.
• Guarantee safety of equipment and personnel at all times.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Fire & Safety or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fire safety management.
