Deputy Manager – Area Training

About the role

SBI Card is seeking a Deputy Manager – Area Training to lead and coordinate training initiatives for its sales and non‑sales workforce across a large geographic patch. The role focuses on ensuring new‑hire onboarding, ongoing skill development, and productivity improvements for approximately 800 NFTEs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee completion of all training activities (orientation, mandatory, refresher, DIP, compliance) for ~800 NFTEs through a team of 7‑9 trainers.
• Drive productivity of new‑joiner sales NFTEs (M1‑M3 vintage) to meet organizational targets.
• Monitor training impact via self‑OJT assessments and mystery‑shopping audits.
• Lead initiatives and projects that boost overall business productivity.
• Manage the full lifecycle of NFTE trainers – hiring, development, performance reviews, and business alignment.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers, Zonal Sales Managers and Circle Heads to tailor training interventions.
• Travel extensively across the assigned area to deliver and supervise training programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale training programs, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a team of trainers.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently across multiple locations.
