Deputy General Manager – Investments & Mergers & Acquisitions

About the role

The Deputy General Manager – Investments & Mergers & Acquisitions will join Tata Communications' Corporate Strategy – Investments & M&A team. You will support the identification, evaluation and execution of strategic acquisition and merger opportunities that drive the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market and industry research to uncover potential acquisition targets and partnership opportunities.
• Develop financial models, perform valuations and forecast financial outcomes to assess deal viability.
• Coordinate due‑diligence activities, reviewing financial statements, legal documents and operational metrics.
• Assist in preparing business cases, drafting agreements and supporting negotiations with senior leadership.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors such as consultants and investment banks throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Prepare and present detailed analyses and recommendations to senior management.
• Support post‑merger integration to ensure seamless assimilation of acquired businesses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• An MBA or advanced degree from a top‑tier institution is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, M&A or related areas.
