About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery supports the Chef de Partie in a fast‑paced hotel kitchen, ensuring high‑quality baked goods and pastries are prepared and served consistently. You will assist with daily food preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and help manage a dedicated bakery section.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of bakery items following established recipes.
• Manage the bakery section, ensuring timely production and delivery of baked goods.
• Monitor stock levels, receive deliveries, and conduct inventory checks to keep ingredients fresh.
• Maintain the highest standards of taste, portion size, and presentation for all bakery products.
• Keep the workstation clean and organized, complying with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Support the Chef de Partie and kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Store food supplies correctly, label them, and rotate stock using the FIFO system.
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff and kitchen porters as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
