Demand Planning Professional

About the role

As a Demand Planning Professional you will ensure the right quantity of supplies and materials are available to support production at Siemens. You will work closely with engineering, product development and supply chain teams to keep material flow smooth and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain optimal inventory levels and analyze current inventories to propose efficiency improvements.
• Identify slow‑moving or non‑moving items and develop plans to reduce excess stock.
• Coordinate engineering changes, product line extensions and new product launches to guarantee timely material availability.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance, qualify new suppliers and report supply‑chain risks.
• Generate forecasts using historical data and inputs from dependent departments and share them with suppliers for advance planning.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• SAP MM module (material management) transactions.
• Knowledge of quality management, production planning and warehouse management.
• Understanding of import‑export procedures, air/sea shipments, Incoterms, freight calculation and customs clearance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI.
