Data Steward – Operational Technology (OT)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Steward specialized in Operational Technology (OT) to ensure the reliability and quality of our industrial telemetry data. You will work closely with engineering, plant operations, and analytics teams to deliver high‑fidelity time‑series data for reporting and advanced analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, monitor and maintain the quality, accuracy and completeness of OT data streams and telemetry datasets.
• Define and execute rule‑based validation, cleanup and anomaly‑detection procedures to resolve corrupted, missing or duplicated sensor tags.
• Standardize asset modeling, schema mapping and tag naming conventions across industrial assets.
• Oversee data curation, transformation rules and table definitions within Databricks / Enterprise Data Lakehouse environments.
• Maintain data catalogs, dictionaries and metadata documentation for plant data assets.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data‑governance, security and lifecycle‑management policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT and analytics teams to align data requirements with business needs.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of data‑quality issues and set up alerting workflows.
• Support BI, dashboarding and advanced‑analytics initiatives with validated operational data.

Required skills

• Databricks (Lakehouse architecture, Delta tables, SQL querying)
• SQL for data validation and exploratory analysis
• Data‑visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker or Grafana
• Knowledge of PLC, DCS and SCADA systems
• Familiarity with data‑cataloguing tools and cloud data infrastructure
