Data Scientist II – Machine Learning & Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Data Scientist II to join Finicity’s Data Science and Analytics team. You will work on intelligent decisioning, financial certainty and verification solutions, applying advanced analytics to improve the financial health of consumers and businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manipulate large structured and unstructured data sets and apply statistical techniques such as OLS, multinomial logistic regression, LDA, clustering and segmentation.
• Develop, train and deploy machine‑learning models (SVM, Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost) and deep‑learning architectures (LSTM, RNN, Transformer) for financial applications including transaction classification, temporal analysis and risk modeling.
• Measure, validate, monitor and continuously improve model performance for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Propose innovative solutions to complex data challenges and present findings clearly to business leaders and clients.
• Follow best practices in data engineering, model governance and reproducibility.
