Data Scientist I – AI Agentic Systems

About the role

Invesco is looking for a Data Scientist I to join its Hyderabad office and help build living, agentic AI systems that enhance investment workflows. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, machine learning, and financial services, turning static language models into dynamic, goal‑oriented agents.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and investment professionals to create AI‑driven tools using structured and alternative data sources.
• Design and implement complex reasoning loops with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or AgentCore.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and gold‑standard datasets to measure generative output quality, faithfulness, and accuracy.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and validation layers that feed AI tools with high‑quality inputs.
• Work with full‑stack engineers to turn notebook experiments into production micro‑services.
• Apply systematic testing (RAG evaluation, stress testing) to meet compliance and reliability standards in finance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in data science or machine learning, with a focus on NLP and Generative AI.
• Strong foundation in Python and cloud‑native development, comfortable with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Enthusiasm for learning and using emerging frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Copilot Studio, or AgentCore.
• Experience creating evaluation metrics and building datasets for model validation.
