About the role
The Foundational Model Team (FMT) at Flipkart is building in‑house Generative AI capabilities to power a wide range of e‑commerce applications. As a Data Scientist you will focus on developing and deploying large‑language‑model (LLM) solutions, with a strong emphasis on natural language processing and multi‑modal AI.
Key responsibilities
- Explore and apply the latest research in Generative AI to create value for Flipkart’s business units.
- Design, train, and fine‑tune in‑house LLMs that meet performance and scalability requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate AI models into production systems.
- Facilitate the adoption of internal models across various product initiatives.
Required profile
- Deep theoretical and practical understanding of machine‑learning algorithms.
- Strong grasp of deep‑learning principles, especially fine‑tuning language models.
- Solid foundation in core ML models and techniques.
- Commitment to staying current with advances in deep learning, LLMs, and AI research.
