Data Privacy Consultant

About the role

Join the Cyber Team as a Data Privacy Consultant and help organisations safeguard personal information while navigating complex privacy regulations. You will work closely with clients to embed data protection into their business strategies and ensure compliance with evolving legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures aligned with applicable privacy laws.
• Conduct assessments to identify privacy risks and design mitigation strategies for clients.
• Monitor data processing activities to verify ongoing compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Provide guidance on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), risk assessments, and data governance frameworks.
• Design and refine privacy frameworks, processes, and controls tailored to client environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
• Relevant certifications such as CIPT, CIPM, or CIPPE are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data protection legislation, especially the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, information technology, or a related discipline.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
