Data Platform Engineer – Azure Databricks

About the role

The Data Platform Engineer will support the design, development, and optimisation of our Azure‑based data platform. Working closely with Integration Architects and Data Architects, you will ensure that all platform components align with the overall blueprint and enable reliable, scalable data flows for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining and refining the data platform architecture and blueprint.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate data models and system interfaces.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform integration and performance issues.
• Document design decisions and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices for platform development.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure Databricks.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑based data platform services and architecture.
• Experience with data integration techniques and data modelling concepts.
• Ability to analyse, optimise, and scale data workflows.
• Familiarity with security and compliance considerations in cloud environments.
