Data Engineer – Oracle & Python (7+ years)

About the role

Capco is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its Bengaluru team. You will work on high‑impact projects for leading banks, insurers and payment providers, building data pipelines and automation solutions that drive transformation in the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts to capture and refine requirements for new and existing modules.
• Design and implement PL/SQL packages, procedures and data‑quality rules for reconciliation, accrual calculations and workflow automation.
• Build scalable data‑processing pipelines and ETL workflows using Python, Apache Airflow and PySpark.
• Develop low‑code UI screens in Oracle APEX for fee‑rate cards, invoices and approval workflows.
• Optimize Oracle queries, create Airflow DAGs, profile data jobs and embed automated validation checks.
• Maintain code in Git, conduct pull‑request reviews and keep documentation up‑to‑date.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, release coordination and retrospectives.

Required profile

• B.Tech/BE/B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of IT experience with proven expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and Python development.
• Experience delivering data solutions for banking, financial or energy sectors is a plus.
