Data Engineer

About the role

ANZ Banking Group is looking for a Data Engineer to join its Customer Data and Analytics tribe within the Retail division in Bengaluru. The role focuses on designing and building data flow and storage solutions that support analytics, reporting and data development across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design data structures for ingestion, integration and analytics layers using a variety of technologies.
• Collaborate in a cross‑skilled squad with business and technology partners to deliver end‑to‑end data features.
• Contribute to design patterns for both on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Build robust, fault‑tolerant data pipelines that clean, transform and aggregate unstructured data into reliable data stores.
• Drive best‑practice data engineering, challenge inefficient practices and influence improvements to business outcomes.

Required profile

• MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong background in data processing and software engineering with the ability to create high‑quality, scalable data products.
• Experience designing data structures for ingestion, integration and analytics across multiple technologies.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
