Data Engineer

About the role

SOTI is seeking a forward‑thinking Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that power our mobile and IoT device management solutions. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with data architects, BI engineers, and various internal stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable data services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across multiple sources and BI platforms.
• Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to ensure modularity, scalability, and high data quality.
• Collaborate with the Data Architecture team to align with enterprise data models, standards, and governance guidelines.
• Partner with BI Engineers and data owners (IT, Cloud Services, Corporate Applications) to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that enable business insights.
• Maintain hybrid data environments (on‑premises and cloud) using SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to guarantee pipeline performance.
• Manage data quality through reconciliation, unit testing, CI/CD, and version control.
• Support data governance initiatives, including metadata management, data lineage, and access controls.
• Document technical designs, processes, and data flows for transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Continuously improve data engineering practices for performance, reliability, and development efficiency.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or a closely related technical role.
