Data Engineer

About the role

PriceSenz, an AI‑first technology and digital services company, is seeking a hands‑on Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data workflows across its product portfolio and client projects. The role involves end‑to‑end data lifecycle work, from ingestion of diverse sources to delivering clean, modelled data for downstream consumption.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines across multiple data sources.
• Create and optimise data models, structures and normalization processes.
• Perform data ingestion, transformation, enrichment and implement matching and deduplication logic.
• Implement validation, quality checks and governance procedures.
• Build refresh schedules, exception handling mechanisms and support data integration for internal products and client initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to operationalise and document data systems.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with ownership of data quality and workflow reliability.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑moving, execution‑focused environments.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Data modelling and normalization.
• Data quality, matching and deduplication techniques.
• Experience with multi‑source datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of BI tools and workflow automation.
