Data Centre Operation Technician (DCO Tech)

About the role

Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) is looking for a Data Centre Operation Technician to join its Data Centre Operations team. You will help maintain and operate the infrastructure that powers AWS global services, ensuring high availability, safety, and cost‑efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure server racks and related hardware in the data centre.
• Perform hardware break‑fix on servers, storage, networking and power equipment.
• Troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues, responding to emergent situations that affect operational stability.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Technical Operations) and external partners (hardware vendors, contractors, service providers).
• Work on assigned trouble tickets, meet SLA targets, and follow a directed workflow as the first‑line support.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Linux‑based systems and data‑centre hardware.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and capacity to handle urgent operational incidents.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, 24/7 data‑centre environment.

Required skills

• Linux operating system administration.
• Hardware installation, maintenance and break‑fix.
• Network troubleshooting and basic networking concepts.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure services.
