Data Center Technician

About the role

As a Microsoft Data Center Technician you will learn and apply standard processes for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and de‑commissioning data‑center equipment. Working under the guidance of experienced colleagues, you will gain exposure to Microsoft’s global cloud infrastructure and its security and data‑management procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Track and resolve issues by escalating when needed and seeking guidance from senior technicians.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and complete all required safety training.
• Complete assigned service tickets efficiently, meeting KPIs and SLAs.
• Follow security and data‑management policies and complete mandatory security training.
• Maintain a client‑focused mindset to understand the impact of your work.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information and supporting peers.

Required profile

• Interest in data‑center operations and cloud services.
• Willingness to learn technical procedures and follow detailed guidelines.
• Ability to work safely with hardware, electrical components, and lifting equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to security protocols.

Required skills
