Data and AI Products Architect

About the role

The Data and AI Products Architect will own the technical architecture of Bosch's Data & AI product portfolio, partnering closely with product owners and innovation teams to turn proofs‑of‑concept into scalable, market‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architectures for each product, emphasizing reuse, configurability, and multi‑tenancy.
• Design shared platform layers, consolidating common services and infrastructure across the portfolio.
• Lead AI and GenAI solution design, making build‑vs‑buy decisions, selecting models, and managing technical debt.
• Architect retrieval pipelines (chunking, embedding, indexing, hybrid search, re‑ranking) for high‑accuracy, low‑latency performance.
• Assess PoCs and early MVPs for technical viability, scalability, and productisation readiness.
• Build the LLMOps/MLOps backbone, including serving, versioning, deployment pipelines, rollback mechanisms, and cost models.
• Embed Responsible AI, explainability, and security standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Support product owners with technical input for funding pitches, business cases, and customer discussions.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in software and machine‑learning engineering and architecture.
• Proven track record of delivering AI solutions in production environments.

Required skills

• GenAI architecture: LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic patterns, orchestration frameworks.
• MLOps/LLMOps: model serving, evaluation design, observability, inference‑cost optimisation.
• Commercial software product architecture: multi‑tenancy, versioning, productisation of prototypes.
• Data platform knowledge for training data and feature pipelines.
