Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

PracticeSuite, a leading healthcare technology provider, is looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to join its Information Security team in Kochi. The role focuses on protecting the company’s infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, and sensitive healthcare data from cyber threats while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts, logs, and events using SIEM and other monitoring tools.
• Investigate suspicious activities, conduct threat hunting, and perform security event analysis.
• Develop and maintain security dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Maintain incident response playbooks and documentation.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, prioritize findings, and coordinate remediation.
• Implement and manage security controls in cloud environments, monitor posture, and address misconfigurations.
• Manage endpoint protection solutions (EDR/XDR) and review firewall and network security configurations.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training and support phishing simulations.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to embed security into the SDLC and assess third‑party vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or security operations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and healthcare industry regulations.
