Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

The Cyber Security Engineer will safeguard the organization’s digital assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls. You will work closely with IT teams to detect vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and ensure continuous improvement of the security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security measures and controls to protect systems and sensitive data.
• Perform risk assessments and audits to uncover hardware, software, and network vulnerabilities.
• Monitor security access, conduct regular system tests, and identify irregularities.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, conduct investigations, and resolve breaches.
• Develop and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Educate and train staff on security standards, best practices, and threat awareness.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of general cybersecurity experience.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on SOAR engineering experience, including custom Python integrations and end‑to‑end playbook development.
• Experience in a security operations environment (SOC, detection, threat intel).
• Ability to communicate complex security issues to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, C++, Java, Ruby.
• Security frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001.
• Tools: firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms.
• Network protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS.
• SOAR platforms: Cortex XSOAR (administration, RBAC, health monitoring, upgrades) and multi‑platform SOAR exposure.
