Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

The Cyber Security Engineer will safeguard the organization’s digital assets by designing, implementing and maintaining security controls across systems, networks and applications. The role combines proactive risk assessment with rapid incident response to ensure continuous protection against evolving cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security measures and controls to protect digital systems and sensitive data.
• Perform risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities in hardware, software and networks.
• Monitor security access and conduct regular system tests to detect irregularities and weaknesses.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and remediation.
• Develop and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Educate and train staff on information security standards, best practices and threat awareness.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of general experience in cybersecurity.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on SOAR engineering experience, preferably with Cortex XSOAR.
• Proven ability to build custom Python integrations and end‑to‑end playbooks from scratch.
• Background in a security‑operations environment such as a SOC, detection or threat‑intel team.
