Cyber Security Engineer – Enterprise Security

About the role

The Cyber Security Engineer will protect Americana Restaurants’ enterprise systems, applications and networks from security threats. You will lead incident investigations, develop response plans and ensure the organization meets regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise environments for suspicious activity and security incidents.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes and coordinate remediation with IT teams.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, SOPs and vulnerability assessment processes.
• Design, implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection and privileged access management.
• Evaluate new security tools and technologies, and oversee penetration testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, PCI‑DSS and other relevant standards.
• Deliver security awareness training and produce reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security, information security or security engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

• Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Endpoint Protection, CyberArk PAM.
• Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
• Networking concepts, protocols and security technologies.
• Python or PowerShell scripting.
• Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Confluent Cloud.
• DevSecOps practices, CI/CD security.
• Incident response, threat hunting, malware analysis, digital forensics.
