Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a remote Cyber Security Consultant to join our team and help clients identify and remediate security risks. You will work closely with diverse organizations to evaluate their security posture and design robust protection strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client environments for security risks and perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments.
• Evaluate application and network security controls, review security architectures, and support the design and implementation of secure solutions.
• Prepare technical reports and executive summaries, and deliver presentations and workshops to client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine methodologies, share best practices, and stay current on emerging threats, tools, and frameworks.
• Assist clients in building sustainable security programs and incident response capabilities.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in core cybersecurity and information‑security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in application security, including secure SDLC, code review, and threat modeling.
• Practical expertise in network security such as firewall and IDS/IPS configuration, segmentation, and secure network design.
• Proven ability to conduct vulnerability assessments, including scanning, validation, risk prioritization, and remediation guidance.
• Experience with security assessments for cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GIAC) or equivalent practical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or comparable professional experience.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with distributed teams.
