Customer Service Officer – Consumer Banking

About the role

The Customer Service Officer will support DBS Consumer Banking Group by handling day‑to‑day banking transactions and addressing client inquiries. This position plays a key part in ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, transfer, and clearing transactions while adhering to regulatory and bank policy requirements.
• Receive and process cheques, demand drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Handle new account opening requests and transaction updates, either jointly with an officer or independently under specific authorisation.
• Respond to customer service inquiries regarding account balances, transaction details, statements, fees and charges.
• Address customer queries and grievances within defined timelines and escalate when necessary.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of banking experience, preferably in consumer banking.
• Graduate degree, preferably in Banking or Commerce.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Strong sense of responsibility, ability to meet deadlines and knowledge of internal/external regulations.

Required skills

• Good computer knowledge.
