About the role

The Playout Executive will ensure seamless broadcast playout operations for Tata Communications, delivering live and recorded content with high quality and reliability. This role involves monitoring channels, managing schedules, and troubleshooting technical issues to maintain uninterrupted service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor playout systems to guarantee accurate, on‑time transmission of content.
• Manage live broadcast streams, switch between sources, insert commercials, fillers, promos, and handle live sports feeds.
• Perform regular technical checks on playout equipment, resolve video/audio quality problems, and coordinate with support teams for maintenance and upgrades.
• Monitor and adjust automated playout schedules, create playlists, and log on‑air changes.
• Conduct quality checks before and during transmission to ensure compliance with broadcast standards.
• Act as first point of contact for playout emergencies, develop contingency plans, and provide rapid resolutions.
• Maintain detailed logs of activities, equipment performance, and incident reports for management review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Broadcast Technology, Media Production, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in broadcast playout operations or live broadcast management.
• Proven ability to manage complex playout systems and handle on‑air incidents.

Required skills

• Proficiency with broadcast playout and automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for video and audio equipment.
• Ability to monitor and adjust scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of broadcast standards and quality assurance procedures.
