Customer Project Manager – Mechatronics

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking a Customer Project Manager specialized in Mechatronics to lead the technical integration of mechanical and electronic systems for automotive and industrial applications. You will act as the bridge between customers, internal engineering teams, and suppliers to ensure successful product development from concept to series production.

Key responsibilities

• Define isolation clearance and creepage according to IEC 60664-1 and manage reinforced isolation requirements.
• Coordinate system and vehicle integration, finalising electrical interfaces for power and communication.
• Drive PCBA integration, specifying PCB technology, solder resist, HSP usage, layer stack‑up, and assembly constraints.
• Lead product engineering activities including DFMEA, change impact analysis, and design‑to‑cost measures.
• Plan and manage project WBS, budgets, milestones, and quality gates; define BOM structure and collaborate with plant launch teams.
• Validate mechanical, environmental, and electrical requirements, conducting risk‑based testing (vibration, thermal, corrosion, IP).
• Source ME and EE components, negotiate cost, quality and delivery with suppliers, and ensure alignment of critical characteristics.

Required profile

• BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience (8‑12 years) in mechatronic project management within automotive or industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of IEC standards, isolation requirements, and system integration.
• Excellent analytical skills for risk categorisation, SWOT analysis, and cost evaluation.
