Cruise Security Officer

About the role

Join the security team of a premium cruise line and help keep passengers, crew, and the vessel safe while sailing between Dubai and Greece. The role blends security operations, customer service, and emergency response in a dynamic maritime environment.

Key responsibilities

• Screen passengers, crew members and luggage using X‑ray machines and metal detectors.
• Monitor CCTV systems and react to any suspicious activity.
• Patrol public areas, crew zones and restricted sections of the ship.
• Control access to the vessel and verify identification documents.
• Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, thefts, fights or missing persons.
• Investigate security incidents and produce detailed written reports.
• Enforce safety and security procedures, including compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a security or safety role, preferably on a cruise ship or similar maritime setting.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and interact courteously with passengers and crew.
• Strong observational skills and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.

Required skills

• Operation of X‑ray screening equipment.
• Metal detector handling.
• CCTV monitoring and incident response.
• Security incident investigation and reporting.
• Knowledge of ISPS Code requirements.
