Consultant – Critical Care Medicine

About the role

The Consultant – Critical Care Medicine will work on‑site at a hospital in Saharanpur, delivering 24/7 intensive care to critically ill patients while collaborating with eNext ICU’s remote tele‑ICU command centre. The role combines direct bedside management with evidence‑based decision‑making and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, develop and adjust treatment plans.
• Manage mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, and invasive monitoring.
• Interpret laboratory, imaging and other diagnostic tests to guide therapy.
• Provide clinical guidance to junior doctors and nursing staff.
• Coordinate care with the remote tele‑ICU team and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families regarding condition and care plans.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and protocol development.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS) with postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Pulmonology or equivalent.
• Formal training or fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (preferred).
• Current medical registration/license to practice in India.
• Proven experience managing ICU patients, including ventilator and invasive monitoring.
• Strong communication, teamwork and decision‑making abilities.
