Consultant Critical Care

About the role

Neotia Getwel Multispecialty Hospital is seeking a Consultant Critical Care to join its Intensive Care Unit team in Siliguri. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care to critically ill patients and work closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients admitted to the ICU and high‑dependency areas.
• Make evidence‑based treatment decisions and supervise necessary procedures.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff and allied health professionals.
• Monitor patient progress, participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and ensure protocol adherence.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement, infection‑control and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Provide training, mentorship and guidance to junior doctors and nursing teams.

Required profile

• DM/DrNB qualification with strong clinical expertise in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
• Valid medical registration and compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, ethical judgment and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience in a multispecialty or tertiary‑care hospital ICU setting is highly beneficial.
