Consultant Anaesthesiologist

About the role

NU Hospital is seeking a full‑time Consultant Anaesthesiologist to join its OT & Critical Care Services team. The role involves delivering safe anesthesia care across surgical, intensive care and emergency settings.

Key responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures.
• Conduct pre‑anesthetic evaluations and risk assessments.
• Monitor patients during operative and post‑operative periods.
• Manage airway, ventilator support, and critical‑care cases.
• Provide anesthesia support in the operating theatre, ICU and emergency situations.
• Coordinate with surgeons, ICU staff and nursing teams to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate anesthesia records and clinical documentation.

Required profile

• MD or DNB in Anaesthesia (DA candidates may also be considered).
• Experience ranging from fresh graduate to 3 years; experienced candidates are welcome.
• Strong clinical knowledge of anesthesia and critical care.
• Proficiency in airway management and emergency response.
• Preferred knowledge of ICU and ventilator management.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
